Bentley Certified By Florida Bar As Specialist In City, County and Local Government Law

Tampa, FL (July 2007) -
Mark Bentley has been certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in City, County and Local Government Law.
City, county and local government law is the practice of law dealing with legal issues of county, municipal or other local governments. Board certification is the highest level of recognition by The Florida Bar, and recognizes an attorney's special knowledge, skills and proficiency in an area of law approved for certification by the Supreme Court of Florida, along with professionalism and ethics in practice.

To be certified in city, county and local government law, a lawyer must practice law for at least five years and been substantially  involved in the practice of city, county and local government law during the three years preceding application. Each certified lawyer has passed peer review, a comprehensive written examination, and completed 60 hours of continuing legal education within the three years immediately preceding application.

Mark is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners of the American Planning Association and has recently been appointed by the Association to its  national Amicus Curiae Committee.
